What we do?

The VSU RHA is a student organization dedicated to making the on-campus living experience worthwhile. We present fun social programs and educational learning programs in the residence halls similar to the ones resident assistants present. The RHA is also the residential government. The VSU RHA is the voice of the on-campus residents. When residents have issues within their residence halls, the RHA fights to resolve them. Each residence hall has a hall council executive board comprised of four members (president, vice president, treasurer, and secretary) elected by the residents. All of the hall councils combined make up the Residence Hall Association, which is governed by four executive board members elected by the hall councils.

Conferences:

As you may have noticed, RHA is not just an on campus organization. Each campus RHA makes up a state-wide RHA organization, which combined with other state organizations near it make regional organizations and all of those regions together makes up the National Association of College and University Residence Halls, inc.(NACURH). Each state and region have their own conference, and annually all the schools collect together at the national conference. So every year the VSU RHA goes to multiple conferences. We have already attended SAACURH 2008 which was held at Clemson University this year, and will be attending the other conferences next semester.

Programs:

Each hall council as well as the RHA as a whole put on events throughout the year for our on campus community. Trying to promote inter-hall unity is a difficult and tiresome task that RHA tries to achieve through the use of multiple programs.
