Lowndes

Lowndes Hall is a two-story, co-ed residence hall that houses 200 males and females. This building is designated to house freshmen only.

Lowndes Hall has a well-trained staff of five Resident Assistants who are here to oversee each floor of the building. The RA's take pride in Lowndes Hall and are eager to answer questions, give advice, and help with different issues that college students may face on a daily basis. Our front desk is staffed 24/7 and our friendly desk assistants are always willing to help.

Opened in 1966, Lowndes Residence Hall was named in appreciation for the county in which Valdosta State University is located and for the late William Jones Lowndes, nationally recognized educator and states man.
