Housing and Residence Life News
- Housing assignments were released on Monday, June 15th. If you did not get placed with your mutually requested roommate, and you think there was an error, please email housing – housing@valdosta.edu.
- Move in will be either August 12 or 13th depending on your hall and floor. More details will be mailed to your home in the welcome newsletter in July. To apply for housing for 2009-2010, click here.
- The 2009-2010 housing fees have been approved and are available here.

How to Apply to VSU Housing for Fall 2009
Here is a check list of items needed to login and complete the application process:
- Student ID number – if you do not know your ID number click here
- Pin number (initially set to six digit birthday)
- Be prepared to select your 1st and 2nd hall preference. You may want to view the individual hall pages for more details about each residence hall.
- Payment - $25 non-refundable application fee and $300 deposit
Notice: VSU housing only accepts Mastercard, American Express, and Discover debit and credit cards at this time. VISA is not accepted by VSU, sorry for the inconvenience.
Notice: VSU requires incoming freshmen (first year, first time students) to live in the residence halls, but housing is not guaranteed. It is based on a first-come, first-serve basis. There is a wait list for freshman females and males . For more details about the wait list process, please click here.
General note: The returning student room selection process for 2009-2010 residents has now closed. Every current resident who wishes to obtain a space on the wait list should contact our office. Students who are currently on the wait list will be able to find out their status by logging into their Banner Web account. Reminder: All holds must be cleared before securing a spot on the wait list. Click here for more details about the wait list process.
