Appointments
Our patients have indicated that they like the ability to schedule their medical appointments to fit within their busy schedules. To provide students with the shortest wait time, appointments are highly recommended. Appointments can be scheduled by calling 229.219.3200 or by stopping by the Health Center and scheduling the appointment with the Appointment Office. Email requests for appointments are not available at this time.
Those students requiring immunizations or allergy injections need to make an appointment; their care will be provided by a nurse.
Students who have made an appointment with Student Health should allow adequate time for their appointment so that the medical staff can provide them with the excellent quality of care that they deserve. Students should arrive at the Health Center at least 10 to 15 minutes prior to their scheduled appointment to allow adequate time for paperwork to be completed.
Walk-ins
We strongly encourage appointments, whenever possible, except urgent situations. For a medical emergency, dial 911. Walk-ins will be assessed in the Appointment Office and referred to a Triage Nurse, when appropriate. Being seen be a Triage Nurse does not guarantee that you will be seen by a provider that same day. Medication will not be dispensed by the Triage Nurse.
Appointment Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel an appointment, please call the Appointment Office (229.219.3200) at least 30 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time. Students who fail to show for a scheduled appointment, or do not provide advance notice of their cancellation will be considered a "no show".
