Auxiliary Information Technology

Auxiliary Services Information Technology (Aux IT) is responsible for managing nearly all computer software and hardware within Auxiliary Services. This includes nearly 200 hundred hardware items like computers, thin clients, printers, time clocks, and servers. Aux IT also provides most of the networking needs for the Auxiliary Services Division.

This office helps maintain the following Enterprise Applications and Systems:

  • Kronos - Auxiliary Services & Campus Recreation Electronic Time Clocks & Payroll
  • Caterease - Scheduling & Event Software
  • Housing & Residence Life Movie System on Channel 78
  • Onity Integra3 Centennial Hall Door Access/Lock System
  • Micros - Point of Sale System for the Dining Services Retail Locations
  • Novell - File and Print Server
  • RX30 - Pharmacy Prescription Software
  • Sequoia - Point of Sale System ( Bookstore, Tech Shop, Langdale Market, Sustella Market, and Kings Bay )
  • T2 Systems - Parking System for Registration Information, Citations, and Web based Payment Portal
  • NetCam Center - IP based Video Monitoring System
  • PyraMed - Electronic Health Records System
  • SpiceWorks - Asset Management System
  • Web Server - ASP.Net Development and Auxiliary Services Departmental Sites
In general, Aux IT is available to all users within the Division as a first resource when troubles or questions arise. All requests for Divisional computer related purchases are routed through this office. We gratefully acknowledge the support of our colleagues in the office of Information Technology at Valdosta State University who are always available and willing to advise us and who keep us informed and in sync with overall campus computing.

Auxiliary Services Computing is located at the Tech Shop in Langdale Hall, staff includes Steve Cline (scline@valdosta.edu) and Joe Searcy (jmsearcy@valdosta.edu). We may be reached at (229) 259-2077. Office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday and 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
