Accounting Services
Auxiliary Services Accounting is responsible for monitoring and managing financial matters which affect the Division as a whole. However, sometimes special projects may be carried out for the benefit of only one auxiliary services unit. In general, the office is available to the departments to provide counsel concerning financial matters and to act as a liaison to the University's Office of Finance and Administration. Day-to-day operations include overseeing financial transactions, analyzing monthly statements and helping the Auxiliary Services department heads monitor their budgetary accounts. The annual Auxiliary Services Budget and its periodic amendments are coordinated through this office.Email: Tim Murphy, tbmurphy@valdosta.edu
Another significant function of this office is the processing and oversight of the financial activity of the VSU Auxiliary Services Real Estate Foundation. Through which, the University is able to finance a number of capital improvements by public-private partnerships and bond issuances.
