Catering Guidelines
All customers will receive a Catering contract after placing an order. The contract, with any changes notated, must be signed and faxed or mailed to the Catering Office. The Catering Department does not book rooms, handle the set up of tables and chairs, PA systems, projectors, overheads, etc. Call Event Services at 333-5998, to make these reservations. Catering does not rent or loan equipment.We require your guaranteed guest count 48 hours prior to your Event. You will be billed for 90% of your guaranteed number. Food will be prepared for 10% above your guaranteed number. The booking customer must notify Catering and Event Services of any guest count changes.
CANCELLATIONS
Cancellations must reach the Catering Office (259-5510) no later than 72 hours prior to scheduled Event. Cancellations on day of Event will result in billing for 100% of guaranteed guest count. Event cancellations, where special food items have been ordered, will be charged for items ordered. Depending on details of Events, possible fees up to $300 may be charged to customers canceling 72 hours prior to Event. A $200 fee will be charged for additional setup on day of Event.
EVENT ATTENDANTS
Attendants may be booked at $10.00 per hour, per attendant. Contact the Catering Office two (2) weeks prior to your Event to, contract attendants, to accommodate scheduling.
VSU HOLIDAY
Catering services requested for official VSU holidays will be decided on a case by case basis and will have holiday overtime costs added.
SPECIAL EVENT NEEDS
Dining Services Catering will gladly help you plan any Event. We will help you design foods to make your Event special. Catering has limited decorations. Fees will be charged for disposable take out containers. Booking customer must include tables for Catering when contracting with Event Services. Confirmed menu must be received five (5) days prior to Event.
DELIVERY CHARGES
Delivery/Set up fee: $20.00 per delivery. No Charge for Events held in University Center. VSU Catering DOES NOT deliver to off campus locations. You may pick up orders with no added charges. Deliveries before 7:00am or after 5:00pm, on Saturday and/or Sunday, will have an additional $75.00 charge for overtime labor.
PAYMENT
Please arrange payment with the Catering Secretary when placing your order. Orders will be billed within ten (10) days after receipt of invoice.
ADDITIONAL CHARGES
Events held on Saturday and/or Sunday, Events not starting at scheduled time causing employees to delay clock out times,
Events exceeding two (2) hours, deliveries to upper floors of buildings with no elevators will incur additional charges.
The Catering Secretary will gladly assist you in planning your Event to avoid extra charges.
