Welcome
Welcome to the web pages for the retail stores serving Valdosta State University.I am pleased to have you browsing with us today. I hope you find everything that you need while you're visiting with us. The Valdosta State University Bookstore is owned and operated by the University through the Division of Auxiliary Services. As Auxiliary units, we are entirely self-sufficient and receive no funding from the University System of Georgia. Actually, we are structured very much like a retail store: in that we pay our employee salary and benefit package, bills for our operating expenses, including indirect overhead charges akin to rent, and we pay for all of the resale items. We even pay for our telephone bill and postage. By University System regulations we must cover all of our operating expenses and help support the operating costs of the Division office.
The VSU Bookstore is located across from the University Center. Our address is 1306 N. Patterson Street. Friendly employees, dedicated to providing you quality products and quality customer service, are ready to personally help you with your shopping needs. You can do some limited shopping via these web pages which we continue to expand.
Several other companies have provided us access to their web pages for your shopping convenience. I'm glad you're exploring our business via this exciting new form of technology. But, if you're ever in Valdosta, Georgia, come on over to the VSU Bookstore. You'll be glad you did.
Bethanie B. Brogdon became director of the University Stores on May 1, 2005, after serving as Merchandise Manager since 1999. She earned her degree in
English and Theatre from Louisiana State University in 1989.
The first seven years of Bethanie's career were spent in the high school classroom teaching senior English in East Baton Rouge. After
moving to Valdosta, she began working part-time in the VSU Bookstore in the operations department. From there she moved to a full-time position in
the textbook department until she moved to her current position which occurred in conjunction with the move into the new bookstore. In addition to her
work on campus, Bethanie teaches English classes at night for the local branch of Georgia Military College.
A main consideration and goal for her has been to better establish and build relationships with different departments on campus. Bethanie is
currently working with the Alumni Association to provide a better selection of merchandise to the Alumni of Valdosta State University. She works
closely with other departments on campus in the planning and facilitation of Grad Finale which is held each semester for graduating students of VSU.
Faculty and staff members often contact Bethanie for merchandise they need for special projects and programs on campus. Bethanie also works on
special projects with the Athletic Department.
Bethanie's office is located in the VSU Bookstore at 1306 N. Patterson Street, Valdosta State University, Valdosta, Ga 31698. She can be
