History
In 1968 Comptroller
Samuel W. Brooks, III
in response to Valdosta State College's growth created the Division of
Auxiliary Enterprises. Mr. J. Marion Franklin,
was chosen as its first Director. He served from July 1, 1969, until
July 31, 1980, when he became Vice President for Finance and Administration at South
Georgia College in Douglas, Georgia. He retired from that post in 1994.
In 1980 Mr. James L.
Black was chosen to succeed Mr. Franklin and
served as the Director of the Division until his retirement in the summer of 1999. Mr. Black served Valdosta State University for 30 years. Mr. Robert Kellner is presently the Auxiliary Services Director.
