Construction on the two parking decks will begin December 10, 2007 and last through July 31, 2008.

Effected parking lots will be: Oak Street, Sustella Street (behind the Student Rec Center) and Jeanette Street (next to the former Parking Office).

LAST DAY to move EXCESS Summer Financial Aid to FLEX is June 18, at 5:00 p.m.

Students are no longer required to sign a FLEX Agreement at the start of each school year. So don't stand in line, visit our on-line card office at http://www.vsu1card.com to take card of all of your FLEX needs.

Avoid the lines, visit http://www.vsu1card.com 24 hours a day/7 days a week for a direct link and instructions for transferring your available Financial Aid to your existing FLEX Account. You may visit this site for direct access to our on-line card office page to make credit card deposits, review your account history and many other services from the convenience of your PC. For a new or replacement VSU 1Card (I.D.) you must visit our office located at 1204 N. Patterson Street, across from the University Center and next to the Bursary.

NEW - Demolition of the old Union building will begin in the next few days. The fence will begin to be erected soon and will encompass parking spaces around the Old Gym and in front of Pine Hall.

NEW - Construction activities for Georgia Hall have begun.

Please be advised that Converse Drive and Langdale Circle are closed to vehicular traffic.

NEW - The Health Center parking lot will be off line due to construction beginning May 14, 2008 until the completion of the new Georgia Hall dorm. Employee parking is available in the Jeanette, Conference, Nevins, Admissions, Alumni lots and in Oak St. parking lot. The patient parking for the Health Center will be relocated to the Café Lot on the other side of the building.

VSU Parking at the Valdosta Mall and the Ashley Cinema's parking areas was discontinued May 2, 2008. Parking will no longer be permitted in these areas for VSU students and employees. The shuttle buses will not service these areas for May & Summer Semesters.

No Overnight Parking will be permitted at the University Center for May & Summer Semesters.

With the continued growth of the university, there will be yet another construction project that will be starting Tuesday April 15th 2008. The university will be installing a new conduit run down Oak Street to accommodate phone, fiber and Cable TV. This work will continue across Oak Street to the new Parking Deck. Due to this work, the parking behind the Old Gym will need to be closed off to allow this construction to happen. We apologize for this inconvenience and will open these spaces back once this area is out of the construction zone. Thank you for your patience and understanding during these times of growth.

The Parking & Transportation Department will be relocating to the One Card Office – 1204 N. Patterson Street (next to the Bursary) beginning October 17, 2007 until the completion of the parking decks.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation during this transition. All contact information will remain the same, however office hours will follow those of the 1Card office while they are located there. Office hours will be Monday - Thursday 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and Friday 8:30 a.m. - 2:30p.m. There will be someone there at 8:00 a.m. to answer the phones.
